- Go to MyUAlbany Welcome at http://www.albany.edu/myualbany and select UAlbany Password Set/Reset.
- To complete the Password Set, you must enter your SSN or AlbanyID, date of birth, and PIN.
- To obtain PIN when you have a personal email address on file with the University, select Forgot your PIN? on the Password Set and follow the instructions.
- Students are issued their AlbanyID by the Admissions or Registrar's office, and it may be listed on correspondence you received from the University.
- Employees obtain their AlbanyID from Human Resources Department and usually have their SSN entered as part of their University hiring record at the University.
- If you cannot retrieve your PIN online, call 518-442-3700, x1 or visit the ITS Help Desk in Lecture Center 27 on the uptown campus.
- To obtain PIN when you have a personal email address on file with the University, select Forgot your PIN? on the Password Set and follow the instructions.
- Next, create a complex password and set the security questions for your account.
- When you successfully complete the steps, a confirmation message will display your NetID and the systems to which you are granted access. Memorize your NetID as it is your username and will never change.
