1. Open a web browser and go to https://uavpn.albany.edu.
2. Log in with your NetID and password.
   
3. Download the appropriate GlobalProtect client for your operating system (Mac 32/64-bit GlobalProtect Agent).
   
4. Run the GlobalProtect setup application (GlobalProtect.pkg) and click Continue to begin.

5. Click Continue to install the GlobalProtect client.

6. Click Install to proceed with the the installation.

7. Enter password when and click Install Software when prompted.

8. IMPORTANT on OSX 10.x??? + Before using GlobalProtect, go to Apple Menu -> System Preferences -> Security & Privacy and allow PanGPS service
   
   
9. A GlobalProtect window should appear in the upper-right menu bar.  If not, click the icon that appears to resemble a Globe. Enter the portal address uavpn.albany.edu

10. Sign in with your NetID and password.

11. You should see a GlobalProtect window stating that you are now connected.

Disconnecting from the VPN

1. Select the GlobalProtect icon in the notification area at the lower right to bring up the VPN connection window.
2. Click Disconnect to end the VPN session.
