Network Connection Issue
Guidance for deploying a new computer, laptop or tablet- Prepare for New Computer Set up
- Request New Computer Set Up –Contact the ITS Service Desk to Request–Provide the following:
- Provide details for computer that will be replaced
- Manufacturer/brand
- Model
- Serial Number or Service tag
- Provide Provide new computer details
- Manufacturer/brand
- Model
- Serial Number or Service tag
- Name of person and location of person who will use the computer
- Software to be installed on the computer
- Provide new computer location for pick up
- Provide details for computer that will be replaced
- ITS Schedule drop off of new computer to office location
Logon to new computer and and install peripherals
- Logging into a University-owned laptop--creates a user profile
- Reconnecting to the University Network
- Setup/validate of M365, the user will need to sign in and run an M365 app (like Word or Outlook).
- Install Printers
- Retirement and Disposal of replaced computer
