Action

To install GlobalProtect VPN on iOS devices, follow the steps below.

Instructions

Set up VPN

1. Open the Google Play App Store and search for "GlobalProtect" - this should be the first result:
   
   1. Alternatively, you can open a web browser on another computer and go to https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.paloaltonetworks.globalprotect then choose to install on any of your mobile devices.
2. Download the GlobalProtect client.

4. Tap the download icon to Download/Install the GlobalProtect app
   
   
5. Once installed, open the GlobalProtect app and enter the portal address uavpn.albany.edu.

6. Tap Connect. 
   
   
7. When prompted, tap Allow to allow GlobalProtect to Add VPN Configurations. You may need to authorize this with TouchID/FaceID.

8. Enter your University at Albany NetID and password and tap Connect.

9. You may be prompted to accept the VPN connection request from the GlobalProtect client. Tap OK to proceed.

10. You should now be connected to the VPN. To disconnect, tap Disconnect at the bottom of the screen.

11. Complete 2-Factor Authentication with Duo:

12.  GlobalProtect should show "Connected" and you should see a VPN icon in the top status bar.

13.  To disconnect, tap the green shield to disconnect.

Reconnecting to the VPN

1. To reconnect to the VPN, open the GlobalProtect app and tap Connect at the bottom of the screen.
