Action

To update your listing your personal information, such as your displayed name or email address, in the University's computing systems (Faculty/Staff directory, you must login to MyUAlbany.Once logged into MyUAbany click on Personal Information and Outlook/Global Address List), you can follow the instructions below.

Students

  1. Log in to MyUAlbany
  2. Under the Other Links, section on the left hand side of the page, select Demographic Data  and then the Personal Information

  1. then need to update your Chosen name.  This name change will appear roughly 24 hours later in University Systems.

    Changes made in MyUAlbany will take one business day to be reflected in the Faculty/Staff directory. The changes will also be reflected in the Global Address Listing in UAlbany Mail/Outlook.

    If your Organizational Unit, Title, or Demographic Information are incorrect, contact Human Resources Management and request the updated.

  • Your primary name will be used on all official University correspondence to you
  • Your preferred name will be the name that will be displayed in the public directory

Phone Numbers

  • Your campus phone number will be displayed in the public directory
  • You are free to can enter several other phone number types, including , but not limited to:
  • Fax
  • Mobile
  • Fax, Mobile, and Permanent

Addresses

  • Your campus address will be displayed in the public directory
  • You are free to can enter several other address types, including , but not limited to:
  • Mailing
  • Mailing and Permanent

Email Addresses

  • Your preferred campus email address will be displayed in the public directory
  • You are free to can enter several other email addresses types, including , but not limited to:
    • Personal
    • Other

NOTE: Changes made in MyUAlbany will take one business day to be reflected in the Faculty/Staff directory. If your Organizational Unit, Title, or Demographic Information is incorrect, you will need to contact Human Resources Management and request that your Demographic information, Organizational Unit and/or Title be updated. The changes will also be reflected in the Global Address Listing in Outlook/Exchange.
