Open the Self Service app on your computer:

  • From your Applications folder, or use Spotlight Search to look for “Self Service”.

2. In Self Service, search for "Panopto".

3. Click Install.

4. When installation is complete, launch the Panopto app.

  • Launch from your Applications folder or use Spotlight Search and look for “Panopto”.

5. Panopto will ask to grant access to record the screen and audio. Click Open System Preferences.

6. Close the About pop-up window, if it appears.

7. Click the slider switch next to Panopto to allow screen recording.

8. Click Quit & Reopen for the changes to take effect. You may also choose to do this later.

9. When Panopto relaunches, you may be asked to add a site.  Click Add Site and enter ualbany.hosted.panopto.com then click Add Site again.

10. After the site is added, or if it’s already pre-populated, click Sign In.

  • If you do not have a Creator account in Panopto, this step will fail.  Contact askIT.

11. Log in using your NetID and password as usual.

12. Complete the Duo verification as usual.

13. If you see a message like the below, check Always Allow… then Open Panopto.

1. Follow the instructions to download and install Panopto Recorder on your personally-owned Mac.

2. When installation is complete, launch the Panopto app.
