The Bypass code prompt means you have enrolled your device, but your device is not activated with the Duo Mobile app. You must finish setting up your device in your account by doing both of the following:

Once you obtain the bypass code, be sure to finish the 'Activate your mobile device section' to complete the activation of your device. Do not merely visit the UAlbany service you were trying to obtain access to, or you will need to repeat the bypass code process every time you need to use a UAlbany service. |
Obtain a Bypass code
- Go Navigate to UAlbany's Get a Duo Bypass Codepage - https://idm.itsli.albany.edu/idm-itspwdmaint/getbypasscode.htm
- Enter your SSN or Albany ID, DOB, PIN and Select ‘Next’
If you Forgot your Pin, please follow the Instructions to request Pin.
- Copy and store your Duo Bypass code in a secure location. Take note of the provided Bypass use-case scenarios with helpful links.
An email will be sent to your inbox, once Bypass code is generated.
- Next, be sure to continue the steps below to activate your mobile device!
