On-Premise Web Hosting allows faculty, staff and students, departments or research labs to host personal, department, or research lab websites. |
Features:
- ITS provides web hosting only—the website owner is responsible fordevelopment, management, and design of the hosted website.
- Faculty are strongly encouraged to use Bright Space for course-related website
- Faculty and researchers are strongly encouraged to consult with Web Services, Office of Communications and Marketing (OCM) about their services
- Owners of web sites hosted in On-Premise web hosting should not expect website development, management, or design from OCM
- Applications, including CMS applications (such as WordPress, etc.), should not be hosted in these directories
- If it is necessary to host application, Research Storage spaces may be more appropriate
- If it is necessary to host application, Research Storage spaces may be more appropriate
- Access to directories can be requested for specific staff or students, submit an ITS Service Desk ticket.

- Need to create a website for personal, department, research lab purposes
- Public-facing website for a project, committee, or working group. (For sites that do not need to be publicly-accessible, a SharePoint site may be more appropriate and easier to manage and update.)

How to Request
- Submit an ITS Service Desk ticket stating your need to host a website.
