Get Started - Enroll in 2-Step with Duo on your Mobile Device

Enrolling while on your Mobile Device!

1.  Install the Duo Mobile App on the device you will be bring to the University of Albany
   1. Find the latest version in the App Store or Google Play. 
      For Android users who do not have the Google Play store available in their area, you can download the app here: http://dl.duosecurity.com/DuoMobile-latest.apk
      
      
2. Open your Duo Enrollment Email that was sent to your personal email address on record with the subject: "University at Albany - Mandatory Duo Mobile App Enrollment", while on your mobile device.  Then Select the Duo Enrollment Link.
   
   
3. If you receive a  "Disabled" message from Duo, it is because your UAlbany account is not fully enabled. Please reset your password by going to Reset Your UAlbany Password.
   
   
4. You will be prompted with a 'Welcome to Duo Security' message to set up your account.  Select Next.
5. 
    
6. Duo will begin 'Did you know?' educating you on data breaches.  Select Next.
   
   
   
7. Duo will continue their educational message on 'What can you do?'.  Select Next.
   
   
   
8. Select the recommended Duo Mobile option.
   
   
   
9. Enter your phone number and select Add phone number.
   
   
   
10. Verify your phone number by selecting Yes, it's correct.
    
    
    
11. Download Duo Mobile if you haven't already done so.  Once downloaded, select Next.
    
    
    
12. Select Continue to Open Duo Mobile
    
    
    
13. Select Open
    
    
    
14.  Select Save
    
    
    
    
15. Your account is now registered with the Duo Mobile App.
    
    
    
16. When you go back to your email account, on your device, you will be given the option to continue. Select Continue
    
    
    
17. You have the choice to add a Security Key, if you do not have a Security Key, select "Skip for Now."
    

    
    

    Security Key

    A Security Key is a device you must purchase, like a Yubi key.   This is not the same as the Duo Hardware Token.

    If you want to add another device, finish enrolling first, and then go through the process of adding another device.  For the most seamless experience, you will need to log into another browser that hasn't been remembered

    
    

    
    
18. Select Log in with Duo.
    
    
    
19. You can now securely log in to your University at Albany services!
