I can't edit in OneNote for Windows 10

Why this happens

Quick fix: Use the OneNote desktop app

1. Press Start, type OneNote, then open the app named OneNote (look for the full ribbon interface).

   • If you only see OneNote for Windows 10, install Microsoft 365 apps for enterprise using Software Center on University‑managed devices or via Microsoft 365 Apps on personal devices.

2. In OneNote, select File > Open and choose your notebook from OneDrive.
