Updating Personal Email for Self Service
In order to receive your PIN and reset your password you will need access to the personal email address you have on file with the University.
Employees, Emeritus, and Former Employees
Log into the MyUAlbany Portal.
To update your email address, click on ‘Tools’ in the purple panel on the left. Then, navigate to the ‘Human Resources’ section and select ‘Add or Update Your Email Address’.
Updating your Personal Email Address:
If you already have a personal email address listed, delete the existing address, then add the new one and click Save.
If you don’t have a personal email address listed, click Add an Email Address, set the Email Type to Personal, enter your personal email address, and then click Save.
Students and Alumni
Log into the MyUAlbany Portal.
From the Home tab, go to the ‘Personal Information’ section and select ‘Email Address.’ Then, click on ‘Update Email Address’ to proceed.
Updating your Personal Email Address:
If you already have a personal email address listed, delete the existing address, then add the new one and click Save.
If you don’t have a personal email address listed, click Add an Email Address, set the Email Type to Personal, enter your personal email address, and then click Save.
Do not set your University email address as your personal email. Doing so may prevent you from using the self-service option to reset your password, or obtain a ByPass code if you lose access to your University at Albany account.
