Install Microsoft Visio Desktop app

If you already have a valid Microsoft Office 365 installation on the computer, and a license for
Visio Desktop, use the directions below to install the desktop app.

Instructions

  1. Log in to Outlook on the web (formerly called Outlook Web App or OWA) on your Windows or Mac computer.

  2. Click on the "waffle" icon in the top left corner and then click the icon for More apps:

    Click the Install apps button > Microsoft 365 apps:

  4. Click on Apps & devices and then Install Visio:

  5. Visio should now begin downloading. Once the download completes, go to the location where the OfficeSetup.exe downloaded and open it.

  6. If you see the User Account Control prompt that says, Do you want to allow this app to make changes to your device? select Yes.

  7. The install begins.

  8. Your install is finished when you see the phrase, You're all set!

  9. Select Close.
