Sending Email from a Distribution Group Address

If you would like to send email and have it come from a Distribution Group email address you own, you can request "Send As" rights to that group by making a note in the "Special instructions or comments" section of the Distribution Group Request Form.

ITS will need to set up an AD security group containing the people to which you would like to give this right (rather than giving the rights directly to an individual).  Once this is set up, anyone in that security group will then be able to send email and have it look like it came from the Distribution Group by changing the From: address for an email in Outlook.
