This guide offers instructions on how to import a single document in OnBase Unity Client. If you have a small personal scanner connected to your computer you can use these instructions to scan documents into Onbase.



Document Import


1.  From the Unity Client home menu select Import.


2. Import a document into OnBase using Browse function or Drag and Drop file

a. Browse function allows user to browse out to a file on your computer.

a. Select appropriate indexing option (if Browse function is grayed out, activate it by selecting Document Type Group and Document Type in the Import Layout pane).


3. Click on Browse or Drag and Drop document in the Preview/Document Viewer panel to attach file.


4. Once document is attached, a preview of the file will appear in the document viewer panel.


5. Start indexing the file by selecting a Document Type Group and Document Type.

a. Once a document type is selected, the associated keywords will appear in the indexing panel. Enter all applicable keyword values; including required keywords in red.

b. Double click a keyword field label to add another instance of that keyword value(e.g.. Program Plan).

c. Click Import when done.




Working Documents Types


Imported documents will open in a window. Each document type(pdf's, image etc...) will have a specific menu or tools tailored to the document type.
