• A message containing a PIN is sent to the personal email address you provided to the University during the admissions process.
• To retrieve your PIN online, go to the www.albany.edu/myualbany and select UAlbany Password Set/Reset.  On the Password Set page, select [Forgot your PIN?] and follow the instructions.
  • If you cannot retrieve your PIN online, call (518) 442-3700 or visit the ITS Help Desk in Lecture Center 27 to request your PIN.

2. Activate Your Account

• Go to the MyUAlbany Welcome page at http://www.albany.edu/myualbany.

•   Select UAlbany Password Set/Reset and follow the steps to create a complex password and set the security questions for your account. 
• Create a complex password. You’ll use it often, so choose something that is easy to remember but difficult for others to guess.
• When you successfully complete the steps, a confirmation message will display your NetID and the systems to which you are granted access.
  
  • The NetID is usually composed of your first and last initials followed by random digits. Memorize your NetID as you’ll use it often and it will never change.
• Never share your password with anyone or save log in information in a browser on a machine used by others. Always close the browser when you complete a session. This prevents unauthorized persons from accessing your account and personal information.
