  • Go to the MyUAlbany Welcome page at http://www.albany.edu/myualbany.  Select UAlbany Password Set/Reset and follow the steps to create a complex password and set the security questions for your account. 
  • Create a complex password. You’ll use it often, so choose something that is easy to remember but difficult for others to guess.
  • When you successfully complete the steps, a confirmation message will display your NetID and the systems to which you are granted access.
    • The NetID is usually composed of your first and last initials followed by random digits. Memorize your NetID as you’ll use it often and it will never change.
  • Never share your password with anyone or save log in information in a browser on a machine used by others. Always close the browser when you complete a session. This prevents unauthorized persons from accessing your account and personal information.
