Action

You can send share a file from OneDrive for Business file as an attachment directly with others from an email message. This is a good way to send large sized files. 

Instructions

  1. Be sure that the file you want to share is uploaded to OneDrive. You do this by dragging and dropping the file from your computer.
  2. From your email, click Insert and then > select Attach File .File and select the file you want you want to share.Click Open:

  3. Choose Share link to generate a link to the file right from your OneDrive space:

    By default, the link

    or Attach as copy:

    to your file will allow anyone with a UAlbany Mail account to edit your file.  To change this, click Manage access:

    Select the options you wish to share the file with. You can change Can edit to Can view, and only allow Recipients of this message or specify other individuals who should be able to use this link to access the content.  Select Apply to save those changes and finish your email:

  4. Finish the email and send it as you normally would.
  5. The recipient(s) will receive the files as with the access level you selected.
