When an employee’s (includes current faculty and active lecturers) status changes, ITS needs to know so we can provide the appropriate action for their assigned workstation.

Departments need to notify ITS of these changes when they are planned, then we will consult with you. Please send the information below at least 2 weeks before the change will occur

  • Please plan for a minimum two week turnaround to deploy a workstation from the time the request for a new workstation is finalized.

Department On-boarding an employee

Notify ITS when an employee (includes current faculty and active lecturers) will join your department. Contact the ITS Service Desk with these details:

  • Name of individual

  • New office location

  • Will they be working fully remotely?

  • Is the employee new to the university?

  • Is the employee (includes current faculty and active lecturers) changing departments (moving)?

  • Please note: ITS will provide a centrally-funded workstation to all new full-time current teaching faculty and active lecturers.

    • When not assigned an office (they are fully remote but live within 100 miles), please make arrangements with ITS to pick up their workstation on campus and ITS staff will guide them through the on-boarding steps required at the workstation. 

    • When not assigned an office and are unable  to pick up their workstation on campus (fully remote and their  home address/location does not allow for campus pickup--more than 100 miles), ITS will mail the workstation to their home location and make an appointment to guide them through the on-boarding steps in an Teams/Zoom.

Department Off-boarding an employee

Notify ITS when an employee (includes current faculty and active lecturers) will leave your department. .

Please note: collecting university property (workstations) before the employee (includes current faculty and active lecturers) separates from the university (from their assigned office, from a campus drop off, or via mail).

Contact the ITS Service Desk with these details:

  • Name of individual

  • Current office location

  • Is the employee changing departments (moving)?

  • Is the employee departing employment from the university?

  • Details of workstation they are currently using:

  • Is the employee (includes current faculty and active lecturers) departing employment from the university?

  • Is the employee

    currently working remotely (workstation issued to an off-site location)

    (includes current faculty and active lecturers) changing departments (moving)?
