Action

The following instructions will allow students to install SPSS on their personally-owned computers at no charge. For help using SPSS, please work with your instructor, advisor, or supervisor.

**SPSS version 28 is not compatible with macOS 14 Sonoma.

Instructions

1. Log into the VPN (Instructions)
   
   
2. Download the SPSS installer here
   
   
3. Locate the file and double click on it.
   
   
   
4. Click on the Open button.
   
   
   
5. Enter your computer's administrator credentials and click the Install Helper button.
   
   
   
6. Click on the Open button.
   
   
   
7. Choose your language and click on the OK button.
   
   
   
8. Click on the Next button.
   
   
   
9. Click on the radio button next to I accept the terms in the license agreement and click the Next button.
   
   
   
10. Click on the Next button.
    
    
    
11. Click on the Next button.
    
    
    
12. Click on the Next button.
    
    
    
13. Click on the Next button.
    
    
    
14. Click the Install button.
    
    
    
15. Let the installation of SPSS finish.
    
    
    
16. Verify that box next to Start SPSS Statistics 27 License Authorization Wizard now is checked and click Done.
    
    
    
17. Click on the Next button.
    
    
    
18. Verify that Concurrent user license is selected and click the Next button.
    
    
    
19. Enter spss-acad.itec.suny.edu as the License Manager name and click the Next button.
    
    
    
20. SPSS is now licensed and ready to use.
    
    
    
21. SPSS should open. Please note that you need to have VPN connected for every time you use SPSS.
