Attackers will use a variety of methods to scam you including Text messaging, Email, and Electronic forms. You can protect yourself and others from Phishing scams by completing the following steps:

  1.  If you suspect your UAlbany Account has been compromised or are receiving unexpected text messages or Duo notifications, Deny and Reset!

  2.  If you receive a suspicious email, report it using Phish Alert.


Text Message:

If you receive a SMS Text message from an unknown person regarding your UAlbany account, DENY the request and RESET your password.

Email:

If you see a suspicious email, REPORT it!


Online Forms: 

Be cautious when filling out online forms and confirm the form is from a credible source. If you have completed an online form that you later suspect was fraudulent RESET your password ASAP.
