Security Certificates

Security certificates (also known as Secure Socket Layer or SSL certificates) are available for protecting University websites. They indicate that an online environment is secure and can be used to transmit personal information, such as a NetID and password, credit card information, and other personal data that needs to be kept private.

Visitors can trust that a website has a valid SSL certificate when the url includes a lock and begins with "https://." These visual indicators provide assurance that a website is legitimate, the owner is affiliated with the University, and that network traffic on that site is encrypted.

Features:

  • Trusted enterprise web and server protection for University websites

  • Unlimited certifications for all the domains owned and controlled by the University
