Action

Former University at Albany students have the ability to temporarily regain access to their accounts for two, two week periods as long as they are within 8 months of the date that their account is closed.  To begin this process, follow the steps below.

Instructions

  1. Log in to MyUAlbany at https://www.albany.edu/myualbany by clicking 'MyUAlbany for Student' and using your NetID and password.

  2. In the Tasks section of MyUAlbany, select the Temporary ITS Access (2 weeks) Renewal link.

  3. In the To Do Item column, select the Temporary ITS Access (2 weeks) link.

  4. Place a check mark in the checkbox indicating you would like 2 weeks of temporary access to your UAlbany IT Account and select the Save button.

  5. Completion messages:
    1. Once you complete the Extension Request you will receive an email to the personal email we have on record with instructions on how to activate your UAlbany IT Account.

    2. If you do not have a personal email on file, you will still receive access to the account after 11:00 am the following day by activating your UAlbany IT Account.
