Action

ITS updates on-campus University Windows computers between midnight and 5 a.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.  In order for your computer to receive these updates, update your computer's energy settings to make sure your computer is not asleep at this time.

Instructions

  1. Right-click the Windows Start button:
    Window Button
  2. Left-click on System:
    System option
  3. On the left panel, click Power & Sleep.
  4. Choose the Never option from the dropdown under "When plugged in, PC goes to sleep after":
