Learning Management System
Blackboard is UAlbany's Learning Management System (LMS). When you have courses that use Blackboard, you are able to easily access course documents, contact the instructor or TAs, and check your course grades throughout the semester. At UAlbany, we have Blackboard courses that span the online spectrum: web enhanced to supplement face to face classes, blended which reduces class seat time with more online activities or fully online where students never have to come to campus.

Computers and Printing
In the three University libraries, ITS has computers with Microsoft Office and academic software.
Printers are available in the Libraries. You can print from the computers there or from your own laptop!
For details and instructions, go to UniPrint Services.
Personal Computers and Devices:
- If there is no requirement stated by your academic department, choose a computer that suits your personal and academic needs and preferences. We recommend purchase of a 3 year or 4 year service contract including accidental damage protection. Students can then contact the vendor for help with operating system or hardware issues that may occur with a computer or device they bring to campus.
