The broadcast email distribution groups are criteria-based groups. Group membership is automatically defined each morning based on HR data for employees and Registrar data for students.
Faculty/Staff Broadcast Email Distribution Groups
- All Faculty and Staff (allfacstaff@albany.edu) includes individuals with the classification of:
- Teaching faculty
- Librarian
- Professional employees
- M/C professionals
- Classified
- RF (Research Foundation)
- UAS employees
- UAF employees
- Volunteers
- Emeriti (that elected to have a UAlbany Mail account)
- All Teaching Faculty (teachingfac@albany.edu) only includes individuals with a classification of:
- Teaching faculty
- Librarian
- RF (Research Foundation)
- All Voting Faculty (votingfac@albany.edu) includes only full-time employees with a classification of:
- Teaching faculty
- Librarian
- Professional employees
- M/C professionals
The All Voting Faculty distribution group was established on behalf of the University Senate for the purpose of sharing information exclusively with those individuals who are eligible to vote in University Faculty Senate-related matters. The only mailboxes with access to send to this group are Academic Affairs-Notices, President's Office-Notices, and University Senate-Notices.
Student Broadcast Email Distribution Groups
- All Students (allstudents@albany.edu) includes all undergraduate and graduate students.
- All Registered Undergraduates (undergrads@albany.edu) includes all students described in the following 5 groups:
- All Registered Freshmen (freshmen@albany.edu) includes all registered students with 0-23 credits completed as of the beginning of the semester.
- All Registered Sophomores (sophomores@albany.edu) includes all registered students with 24-55 credits completed as of the beginning of the semester.
- All Registered Juniors (juniors@albany.edu) includes all registered students with 56-87 credits completed as of the beginning of the semester.
- All Registered Seniors (seniors@albany.edu) includes all registered students with 88 or more credits completed as of the beginning of the semester.
- All Graduates (graduates@albany.edu) includes all graduate certificate, Masters, PhD and registered non-matriculated graduate students.
- All Registered Undergraduates (undergrads@albany.edu) includes all students described in the following 5 groups:
- All On Campus Students (oncampus@albany.edu) includes all students registered in the current term with an on-campus address.
- All Off Campus Students (offcampus@albany.edu) includes all students registered in the current term without an on-campus address.
Broadcast Email Authorization
The following are departmental mailboxes that have been given authorization to send to the above (see note below) broadcast email distribution groups. Individuals granted access to these mailboxes are permitted to send messages to the broadcast distribution groups if the message has been appropriately authorized.
