Action
If you are an Outlook user and find that good email is frequently getting sent to your Junk E-Mail folder, follow these instructions to turn off Outlook's additional junk e-mail filtering. After doing so, Outlook will only filter mail to your Junk E-Mail folder if you explicitly 'Block Sender' for a given email message. Note that UAlbany Mail will still perform spam filtering and move messages to your Junk E-mail folder when warranted unless you have disabled junk mail filtering in the Outlook Web App (OWA).
Instructions for Outlook
- Open Outlook and verify that the Home tab is selected. Select the down arrow next to Junk.
- Select Junk E-mail Options from the window.
- Choose No Automatic Filtering and click on OK.
