Issue
When attempting to view a CopyLeaks Similarity Report within Brightspace, you may see the below error message. Safari and Firefox users are primarily affected, or when using an incognito/private browsing tab.
First things to try
- Switch to Google Chrome browser.
- Use a regular, non-private/incognito tab.
Troubleshooting steps
Safari
- In the top-left corner, click Safari → Settings.
- Click the Privacy tab.
- Uncheck the setting for "Prevent cross-site tracking".
- Try loading your Similarity Report again.
Firefox
- Open a new tab and navigate to "about:preferences".
- Search for "cookies".
- Under Enhanced Tracking Protection, select Custom.
- For the Cookies category, select "Cross-site Tracking Cookies".
- Try loading your Similarity Report again.
