Enrolling in Duo with an International Number
- Duo’s Verified Push is the standard authentication method for security purposes. You will not have the option to receive a phone call or text message.
- You will need to have your smartphone in your possession to set up your Duo Authentication.
- Begin by downloading the Duo Mobile app from the App store or Google Play and enroll and activate your phone with the Duo Mobile App.
- Once you have completed the enrollment and activation process, you are ready to access campus online services. You will be prompted with a verified push notification when trying to log into a UAlbany service.
Traveling with Duo
When traveling outside of the United States, you may not be able to use cell service on your smartphone/device. Don’t worry - Duo authentication can work without cellular service or a Wi-Fi connection. Plan ahead and plan accordingly to be sure you are set up properly.
