Instructions (Windows or Mac)

1. Install an SFTP client (such as WinSCP or CyberDuck). 
2. Run the SFTP application.

3. Select the appropriate settings for your web pages. 

   	Departmental or Faculty Web Pages	Personal Web Pages
   File Protocol:	SFTP	SFTP
   Host Name:	webpub.albany.edu/wwwfac webpub.albany.edu/dept webpub.albany.edu (USE FOR WinSCP)	perspub.albany.edu
   Username:	Your UAlbany NetID The letters must be lowercase.	Your UAlbany NetID The letters must be lowercase.
   Password:	Your UAlbany password	Your UAlbany password
   Port number:	22	22

   If you are off campus, you will need to connect using VPN before the SFTP connection will work.
