$LAB storage is encrypted at rest, compressed, de-duplicated, and is backed up via "snapshot" daily for 21 days and hourly for the past 23 hours. Faculty are not charged for "snapshots", and they are not included in the 10 TiB allocation. A second copy of $LAB is also stored in a secondary location. The storage may be accessed from any computer on campus, and off campus access is provided via the VPN. $LAB is also mounted to, and accessible from, the general purpose cluster.

Standard Offering

All faculty researchers have access to 10TiB of NFS mounted disk space, referred to as $LAB directory. Faculty may request a $LAB directory via the Research Storage Request Form
