Q: How do I set up my student printing account?
A: Follow these instructions to Get Your Student Printing Passcode. Your unique, 6-character Student Printing Passcode will be displayed at the end of this process. It will also be sent to your UAlbany Mail email address. Use your Student Printing Passcode to print from any Student Printer. You can also Register and Print with Your UAlbany ID Card.
Q: I forgot my passcode. What should I do?
A: Follow these instructions from any computer in the Information Commons to Reset Your Student Printing Passcode. If you linked your passcode to your UAlbany ID Card, you need to re-link the new passcode to your ID Card.
Q: How do I link my passcode to my UAlbany ID Card?

Q: How do I send a job to a printer?
A: There are two ways to send a job to print:
Send a Print Job from a Public Computing device from any Information Commons computer.
Follow these instructions to upload documents and Print from print.albany.edu.
Q: How do I release print jobs at a printer?
A: There are three ways to release a print job at a printer:
Register and Print with Your UAlbany ID Card. After you have register your UAlbany ID Card the first time, simply swipe your ID Card to print.
Q: Can I install Pharos Secure Printer on my personal computer?
A: Yes. Follow these instructions to Install Pharos Secure Printer on your PC or mac.
Q: Can I print to a color printer using my UAlbany ID Card?
A: Approximately 8% of UAlbany ID Cards contain special characters that prevent them from working with color printers. If your UAlbany ID Card will not release a color print job, Print with Your Student Printing Passcode instead. All UAlbany ID Cards work with B&W printers.
