The instructions below describe how to map an individual's S: Drive on Ubuntu (a version of Linux) operating system.
Instructions
- Open File manager
- Find the Connect to Server option at the left corner and double click it
Open Files (the file manager)
At left, click "+ Other Locations"
At the bottom of the window, you should now see a "Connect to Server" field
- Enter the server address: smb://netID@itsunix.albany.edu
- Click connect
- A new window will open, asking for login information
- Username: Your NetID (this field may not appear)
- Domain: UALBANY
- Password: Your UAlbany password
- Click Connect
Once connected, you will be at the root of the itsunix server, not in your S Drive space. We need to determine if this negates the public utility, but is still interesting.
