Model

  • The specific product model/version of the workstation

  • Examples: OptiPlex 7060, Precision 3660

Funding Source

  • Where the money came from to purchase the workstation

  • Examples: Start-up funds, RF grant

Funding Department

  • Which department or unit provided or manages the funding

  • Examples: Biology, Chemistry

Network Status

  • Whether the workstation currently has internet access

  • Yes/No response

Current OS

  • The operating system currently running on the workstation

  • Examples: Windows 10 Pro, Windows 11

Connected to Instrument(s)

  • Whether the workstation is connected to or controls research equipment

  • Examples: Microscope, mass spectrometer

  • If Yes, you'll receive an additional form for instrument details

Software

  • Software used specifically for research

  • Include only specialized research software, not common applications

  • Examples: GraphPad Prism, SPSS, Origin
