WiFi Troubleshooting - Reinstall WiFi driver

Action

To reinstall the software driver that runs the WiFi card on your computer, which can resolve some connection issues, take the following steps.

Instructions

Windows

  1. Open Device Manager
  2. Find the WiFi card
  3. Right-click and choose Uninstall

    Do not check the box to delete the driver files if prompted; just uninstall as the files are needed for the reinstall process.
  4. Restart the computer to reinstall the driver (may take a couple of minutes)
  5. Try to connect again

MacOS

  1. Open Network Preferences
  2. Select WiFi, click "-" to remove it
  3. Click Apply
  4. Restart the computer, click "+" to re-add WiFi
  5. Click Apply
  6. Try to connect again
