Reactivate Windows license while off campus

To reactivate or keep active the Windows license on your University Windows computer while off campus, follow the steps below. You can do this periodically to avoid expiration or after it has expired and notified you.
Instructions
Restart your computer (turn it off, then on)
Open and connect the Palo Alto GlobalProtect VPN app
We have instructions for this at the bottom of Palo Alto GlobalProtect VPN Client Installation (Windows)
Leave the computer on, awake (not sleeping/screensaver), and connected via VPN to let it contact our license server and (re)activate Windows
This may take a couple hours or may be faster
Additional Information
If you use VPN already, this communication and activation will likely already occur in the background.
