Publish to Brightspace

Action

The following steps connect your Respondus 4.0 software with UAlbany's Brightspace LMS.

Instructions

  1. In the Publish Wizard in Respondus 4.0 (Preview + Publish tab)

  2. For step 1, select the method for publishing your test.

  3. For step 2, you will establish the connection to the Brightspace server through a pre-configured server setting.

    1. For Brightspace Server select - add new server -

    2. In the Add New Server Settings pop-up, click the button for Yes, check for preconfigured server settings

    3. Click Next



    4. In the Preconfigured Server Settings Wizard pop-up,

      1. Step 1: enter the name that you wish to call this publish setting

      2. Step 2 OPTIONAL: Save your Brightspace username and password for easy connection in the future. 
        If you choose not to save your username and password, you will be prompted to enter them when connecting in the future.

      3. Step 3: If you have entered your username and password, you can Click Run connection test



    5. Click Finish

  4. In the Publish Wizard pop-up, click Next.


  5. Click OK when prompted to log in to Brightspace. 

  6. When prompted, click OK to download the Authentication Module and proceed through the following prompts to continue.




  7. Enter your NetID and Password and click Sign in.




  8. Complete the Duo verification.




  9. Click Continue to confirm the connection with Respondus.




  10. Click OK




  11. The Publish Wizard will provide options to select the course in Brightspace to upload your test.

Respondus 4.0 has now been configured to connect to UAlbany's Brightspace system
