Background

When you create a Team in Microsoft Teams, or a Microsoft 365 (M365) Group, a SharePoint Team site is automatically created and associated with the Team or Group.  This site can be used within Teams or directly in a web browser, like any other website.  

Instructions

To create a SharePoint Team Site, you can do either of the following:

• Create a new Team in Microsoft Teams

• Create a Microsoft 365 Group

More Information

Anyone you add as a member of your Team or Microsoft 365 Group automatically gets access to the team site.  Members can modify the team site, add additional document libraries, lists, and web apps as needed.
