High Performance Computing Cluster
ITS currently manages an HPC cluster consisting of 60 computational nodes with 5712 CPU cores and 12 NVIDIA A40 GPUs. These computational resources are available to all members of the University at Albany research community, collaborators, and partners. Jobs are scheduled using the Simple Linux Utility for Resource Management (SLURM) via a fair-share algorithm. Researchers also have access to a wide range of pre-installed modules and software and also have the ability to install and configure their own computing environments as well as spawn jobs using Interactive Development Environments (IDEs) such as Jupyterhub and RStudio.
