Activate Microsoft 365 Apps on Windows

Before you can use any M365 application on a computer, you must sign in with your UAlbany credentials and activate it.Â

This process typically takes 5-10 minutes to complete.
Instructions
Open any Office app (e.g. Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and click Sign in:
Enter your full UAlbany Mail email address and click Next:Â
Sign in with your UAlbany Mail address or NetID and password:Â
You will be prompted to complete your 2-Step authentication through the Duo app:
If prompted by the following window,  uncheck the option to Allow my organization to manage my device, and click This app only:
Your copy of Microsoft 365 apps for enterprise is now activated. You are now ready to use any Office app on this computer:
