Activate Microsoft 365 Apps on Windows

Action

Before you can use any M365 application on a computer, you must sign in with your UAlbany credentials and activate it.

This process typically takes 5-10 minutes to complete.

Instructions

  1. Open any Office app (e.g. Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and click Sign in:

  2. Enter your full UAlbany Mail email address and click Next:

  3. Sign in with your UAlbany Mail address or NetID and password: 

  4. You will be prompted to complete your 2-Step authentication through the Duo app:

  5. If prompted by the following window,  uncheck the option to Allow my organization to manage my device, and click This app only:

  6. Your copy of Microsoft 365 apps for enterprise is now activated. You are now ready to use any Office app on this computer:
