How to Access Another Mailbox in OWA Light Version

Some web browsers (including mobile Safari on iOS) that do not support all features of UAlbany Mail will still let you access your mailbox, but with a "light version" of the website.  You can access a shared mailbox using the Outlook Web App light version by following these steps.

To access or open a shared mailbox, you must first have permission for the mailbox.

Instructions

  1. Log in as yourself to the UAlbany Mail OWA (https://mail.albany.edu).

  2. In the address field of your browser, delete anything after "...outlook.office.com/mail/".

  3. In the address field of your browser, type the e-mail address of the shared mailbox that you want to access after "...outlook.office.com/mail/" and press Enter to go to that mailbox.  

    1. e.g. https://outlook.office.com/mail/shared-mb@albany.edu/

To return to your mailbox, repeat the above steps with your own e-mail address.
