Single Number Reach

Single Number Reach allows you to receive your office phone calls on your mobile phone when you are away from your desk. When a call comes in to your office phone, it will also ring on your mobile phone. You can answer the call from either phone.

If you choose not to answer your call on your mobile phone, when the caller leaves you a voice message, it will be on your office voicemail and not on your mobile phone’s voicemail.

This is a nice feature when you need to be away from your desk and you don’t want to give callers your mobile phone number. Receiving your office phone calls on your mobile phone can be scheduled so that your mobile phone rings only during specified timeframes such as during business hours only.

Setting Up Single Number Reach

  1. Login to the Self Care Portal using your NetID and Password.

  2. Select Add an Additional Phones.

  1. Enter the Phone Number beginning with 8 for an outside line, followed by 1 the area code and phone number.

  1. Select the checkbox next to Enable Single Number Reach

  2. Click on the icon next to “Create a schedule for this assignment” to set up when you want your office phone to ring on your mobile phone.

  1. Choose the “Ring only during specific times” option to set up a schedule for when you want the phone to ring on your mobile phone.

    1. Use the checkbox next to day(s) to select the day(s) of the week.

    2. Use the dropdown arrow to select the timeframe for each day you selected.

    3. Use the dropdown arrow to select your appropriate Time zone. Use (GMT-5:00) America/New_York
