Action

If you are an Outlook user and find that good email is frequently getting sent to your Junk E-Mail folder, follow these instructions to turn off Outlook's additional junk e-mail filtering. After doing so, Outlook will only filter mail to your Junk E-Mail folder if you explicitly 'Block Sender' for a given email message.  Note that UAlbany Mail will still perform spam filtering and move messages to your Junk E-mail folder when warranted unless you have disabled junk mail filtering in the Outlook Web App (OWA).

Instructions for Outlook

1. Open Outlook and verify that the Home tab is selected. Select the down arrow next to Junk found in the Delete section of the ribbon.

2. Select Junk E-mail Options from the window.

3. Choose No Automatic Filtering and click on OK.
