UAlbany Mail Inbound Rate Limits

After working with Microsoft, our mail hosting provider, we have not been able to identify any inbound mail rate limits. Accordingly, mailings to thousands of UAlbany Mail customers from an external mail system (i.e. UAlbany LISTSERV, SUNY NY Alert, approved survey providers, etc.) will not be dropped simply based on mail volume. The mail may still be filtered if the system considers the external mail as spam. If you are working with a service provider that needs to send email to UAlbany Mail customers for official purposes, please consider submitting a request to have that provider safelisted in the UAlbany Mail system.
