Malware Protection in UAlbany Mail

In order to protect UAlbany Mail customers and University data, malware protection is enforced on mail sent to UAlbany Mail accounts.

  1. Messages that contain known malware (short for "malicious software") are automatically deleted when detected by the mail server.
  2. The UAlbany Mail system will delete all executable file attachments.  This is true whether the message originates from another UAlbany Mail user or an address outside the system.
