For Cisco Phones in a conference room

  • Conference with up to 5 other callers
  • For unplanned and ad hoc conferencing
  • For scheduled conferences, please use Zoom Workplace

Instructions for Cisco 8832 Conference phone units

  1. Call the 1st number
  2. Press the Conference button 
  3. Dial the 2nd number
  4. Press the Conference button again to connect the parties
  5. Repeat to add additional callers

Instructions for Polycom Conference phones

  1. Call the first number (can be on or off campus); ask the party to hold
  2. Press the Flash button and listen for the stutter dial tone
  3. Dial the second number; when party answers, ask them to hold while you connect the other party
  4. Press the Flash button a second time. All parties should now be connected

  5. Repeat to add additional callers

    If one party hangs up, the other two remain connected.

    • If you cannot reach the second party due to a busy signal or no answer, press the Flash button a second time to reconnect to the first party.
    • To reconnect to the first party after reaching voicemail, press ‘*’ key three times to disconnect from voicemail, then press the Flash button to reconnect to the first party.
