This guide offers instructions on the process of sweeping already existing electronic documents from a folder and bring them into OnBase. It is similar to importing but not exactly the same, in that it picks up all the files in a selected folder not a single file.

Sweeping Documents

1. Documents that have already been scanned and placed into a directory/shared location or saved on your device can be swept into OnBase.

a. To begin, select Batch Scanning from the Unity Client home menu.

2. Ensure that appropriate Scan Queue(e.g. Grad Sweep) is selected before sweeping.

3. Sweep-in batches of files that have been scanned and placed in a particular directory/shared location on your device into OnBase(you can also choose to import/sweep in just one file).

4. Your device may be set up to default to a particular directory/location where your office scanner may have sent files to.

a. Once a specified directory/location has been selected you can Sweep in your documents.

5. Enter a Batch Name(e.g. Test) then click Sweep.

6. Once Sweeping is complete, documents swept will open in a new window ready to be reviewed or modified if necessary.

a. Click Go to Batch to navigate to Batch Processing or click Back to navigate back to Batch Scanning.
