M365 Upgrade Another account is signed in Error
Issue
You receive a "Sorry, another account from your organization is already signed in on this computer." error when signing in to Office after upgrading to Microsoft 365
Resolution
If you see an error like this when signing in to Office:
Click Cancel to close the error window.
In the Office app you have open (Word, Excel, etc.) go to File > Account
Click Sign Out
Close all Office/Microsoft 365 apps
Open an Office app (Word, Excel, etc.)and go to File > Account
Click Sign in and sign in with your UAlbany account credentials.
If prompted, select Work or school account:
Once you have completed these steps, you should be able to use Microsoft 365.
