Installing Outlook for Mac

Action

To install Outlook, as part of Office, on a Mac, follow the instructions below.

macOS 10.14 Mojave and later is required.  If you cannot upgrade to 10.14 or later, you can access your UAlbany Mail in Outlook on the web in a web browser at https://mail.albany.edu. 

Instructions

  1. Log in to Outlook Web App (OWA) at https://mail.albany.edu using your UAlbany Mail account and password.

  2. Click on the My Account icon (or your picture, if you have one) at the top right.

  3. Click the Install Office link under the Office apps & devices. 

  4. Click Save File:

  5. Go to Finder and open your Downloads folder.

  6. Open/run the Microsoft_Office….pkg file you just downloaded in step 4 and follow the steps to install Office.

  7. Once you complete the installation, activate Outlook for Mac.
