Action

On April 11, 2020, Zoom enabled a new security feature that generates a random password for each Zoom recording. You may disable this feature for all recordings in the future or select specific recordings to disable the password on each file.

Instructions

Disable Zoom Password Feature for all recordings

1. Go to https://albany.zoom.us

2. Click Sign in

3. Click on Settings on the left side

4. Click on Recording

5. Scroll down to navigate to "Require password to access shared cloud recordings" and toggle the selection to turn off the feature
   
   
   

Disable Download Password for Individual Recordings

For each recording file created after 4/11/2020, the Random Generated Download Password will need to be disabled one at a time. Please allow up to 10 minutes to reprocess the Zoom library.

1. Click on Recordings on the left side

2. Click on Share button next to the recording

3. Disable Password protect option

4. Click Close
