Emeritus Self Service Process

Emeriti are eligible to retain their accounts by renewing their access annually.  New and renewing emeriti may find instructions to retain their account in MyUAlbany below.

Due to a need to increase the University's security, all users are now required to use 2-Step with Duo.

Emeritus Invitation & Renewal:

  1. Log into the MyUAlbany Employee Portal using your NetID and password.

  2. In the Tasks section of MyUAlbany, select the Emeritus Invitation or Emeritus Renewal.

  3. Now select the Emeritus Invitation Link or Emeritus Renewal Link.

  4. In the To Do Item column, select the Emeritus Invitation or Emeritus Renewal link.

  5. Place a checkmark in the checkbox indicating you would like to continue to use IT Services at the University at Albany.

  6. Select the Save button.

  7. Select the OK button.

  8. For late renewals only (those without UAlbany email access):
    If you select the Emeritus Renewal link after 30 days from the initial renewal email, you will receive the following notice:

    Message stating the UAlbany Account will take 24 hours and to reset password to activate.
